The Critical Eye (Season
1)
Episode 1
Introduction
The
Critical Eye is neither a thriller nor a revenge story or a piece of fiction
but it is what meets the eye and sometimes more than what rendezvous the EYE. It
is a narration of what the heart feels, the mind observes, the eye captures and
the personality absorbs.
Based
on real life instances, incidents and accidents, The Critical Eye slits open
some of the so called beautiful scenarios that other people make us see. It penetrates
to the ugly root of the veiled fabulous and compels to question ourselves about
the real reality. This season of “The Critical Eye” will showcase a series of
30 episodes that will tantalize the senses and will challenge the seasoned us.
So
lose yourself to the drama of words. Just sit back and soak in………………………………..!!!!!
Episode 1
Photographer Clicks
Creatures From Outer Space
The
story revolves around the breath of life today, any guesses? Gadgets and
technology are totally incomplete without social media and so is our story. Facebook,
the need, the want, and a day without which is a Saz-e-kala-pani. With numerous
requests to like pages on Facebook I stumbled upon one such request that
catered to photography. Absolutely aroused by the ever-exaggerating
introduction that it gave to the readers I was drunk in its beauty. Before I got
a glimpse of the pictas which were so hyped about, stating that they are the world’s
most exquisite pictures of out of the world people, people that the
photographer has never seen before in his life, people that are the cream of
the crop, people that are extremely beautiful and excellently groomed and
people that are incomparable to any living being on earth. With such a
description and such a shout out for the clicks he made, my thoughts were lost
in the unseen beauty of those snaps.
Aroused
to the zenith of my curiosity and a desire to just leave everything and go
through those five hundred something photos, came crashing down when I just ran
my eyes quickly over all of them to relax my heightened yearning for the pics. All
that bragging, all that self praise, all that talk about some super humans that
he had shot was flushed away with the very first pic I saw.
Regular
party pics with people just ordinary a little dolled populace for attending the
party was what actually captured the photographer’s lens. The false bubble that
enveloped around the whole propaganda did not even last for a few pics for me
to see. Totally and absolutely the grandeur of words fizzed down to nothing. Normal
party snaps with usual men and women, everyday shots and nothing WOW! Like was
the real story behind all those sugar laced words. The photographer either didn’t
think or thought that the populace reading it was stupid or just underestimated
the intelligence of the audiences he was catering to. At one point I thought
that he has managed to shoot aliens or some extraterrestrial entities for which
he stirred this whole storm up. Unfortunately his reach was just the humans.
Creating
a little air about your work is fine but when you wish to swirl up the world
you should have the ability to put forth THE UNIVERSE. A photographer’s work is
admired through the medium of pictures he/she captures and not through words
that gives its audiences’ the liberty to visualize anything based on their
mastery of assortment of words. Instances
like this force you to develop or plug-in your critical eye. The want of thinking
highly of the photographer’s work was smashed by himself because indirectly he stimulated
his viewers’ critical eye instead of the loving eye.
This
episode took you into the thinking sediments of people who provoke the common mindset
of regular people and revolutionize it to “The Critical Eye”.
